Take a closer look at the Zoom LeBron V from The Collection.
It all started with some jumpers on a milk crate in Akron, OH back in the late 80s. From there, driven by an immeasurable passion and desire, LeBron began his quest to become the best basketball player ever. Along the way, he has collected enough experiences and awards to fill entire trophy cases. From high school titles, to the No. 1draft pick, to putting on one of the most amazing fourth-quarter NBA playoff performances ever, LeBron has become Mr. Basketball.
To celebrate his amazing journey, Nike has created a special Mr. Basketball edition of the Zoom LeBron V. A collage of numbers and words that highlight the LeBron Experience are etched into the shoe’s upper. From the “Milk Crate” he first scored on, to the words people have used to describe his game – “The Chosen One” and “The Whole Truth” – to the most memorable scores of his career, they tell a story of a man who wants to be the greatest.
The LeBron V is adorned with gold buckles on the blue front cross-strap and gold square eyelets. The heel of shoe features an image of LeBron with outstretched arms and a Mr. Basketball graphic on the heel strap. And as with every LeBron V, the sneaker is completed with LeBron’s trademark crowned lion insignia on the tongue and a map of Akron on the sole.
