妳的過去來不及參與 但是現在、未來我不再錯過NIKE與JORDAN BRAND所共同開辦的Future Sole球鞋設計競賽今年邁入第二屆，在2008年首度開辦的Future Sole強化了虛擬網路與實際商品的連結，事實上，這些國際品牌中正有幾位由網路發跡的設計師們貢獻心力中，結合本身專業能力與興趣，進入國際品牌的設計團隊，比較知名的如Amare Stoudmire(Air STAT)、Ray Allen(Jordan Team ELITE)、甚至是LeBron James(MAX LeBron 7)背後設計群中都據說有這些『網友』們貢獻的心力，這次的Future Sole線上投票是你參與未來的最佳方式，上網投票告訴眾人你喜歡的是哪一味！受到您青睞的年輕網友說不定在不久的將來就會成為未來的設計之星。

Future Sole 發起人 Dwayne Edwards 專訪KENLU : 可以跟大家介紹一下你在Jordan Brand與Future Sole活動中扮演的角色是？
Dwayne Edwards : 我是Future Sole設計競賽的發起者，同時也是Jordan Brand的鞋類設計總監。
K : What kind of role you played in Jordan Brand and Future Sole?
DE: As you know I am the Footwear Design Director for JORDAN and I am the creator of the Future Sole competition.
K : Jordan Brand的工作已經夠忙的了，為什麼跟什麼時候你開始有舉辦Future Sole競賽活動的想法？
DE : 哈～是的，我的工作真的不輕鬆，不過這是一個我投注相當多個人心力於其中的活動，所以就得想辦法在週末、清晨五點鐘、或是我下班之後的時間擠出時間來處理這個競賽，不過你知道這絕不是一個人能完成的活動，Future Sole由許多Jordan Brand與Nike的設計夥伴們合作才能完成。
K : We knew it is a really heavy load to work in Jordan Brand. When and why do you have the idea to host a design competition like Futuresole?
DE: Haha, yes I am really busy but this is a program I am really passionate about so I find time on weekends, 5am before I start work and when I get off of work but this is not a one man show. I have many JORDAN and Nike Designers helping me put this together.
K : 這過程中你覺得最值得回憶的事是什麼？
DE : 去年 Carmelo Anthony 直接打電話給競賽最後贏家，並恭喜他們在數百件作品之中勝出，我可以從他們的對話中感受到Ben與Juan興奮的聲音，今年Melo同樣的代言了Future Sole活動，我也同樣期盼見到今年優勝的朋友。
K : What's the most roused thing happened during the Futuresole Event.
DE: Last year Carmelo Anthony called the winners to personally congratulate them on winning and to hear the excitement in Ben and Juan’s voice was great. This year Melo is again endorsing the project and is excited to see this years winners.
K : Internet 是怎麼對球鞋設計相關領域產生影響？
DE : Internet 可是一個全新的溝通方式，其中也包括了讓設計師或是品牌認識彼此，在許多交流之中讓設計變得更好，這麼幾年下來可說帶來了相當的影響。
K : How's the internet influence the shoes design jobs?
DE: It is a new way for designers to get their work seen by companies and other designers so they can get tips on how to get better. It has had a big impact for those that have used it.
K : 最後有沒有什麼話想對鞋迷以及未來的設計之星說的？
DE : 如果說你的夢想是設計球鞋，像Future Sole這樣的活動就是為你而生，跨出這一步，你可以在其中變得更好，之後就是不斷的練習、練習、再練習，因為每天你總會學到些新鮮事！
K : Any words to sneakers fans and the rising stars in shoes design?
DE: If, your dream is to design shoes competitions like Future Sole or showing your work to others is the first step to getting better. After that, practice, practice, practice because everyday you learn something new.
